One of the ingredients I add to a lot of my smoothies is freshly grated ginger. I include it for its health giving qualities, great taste, and because it is very warming.
Pink Smoothie
1 ripe mango
1/2 cup strawberries
Juice from 1 red grapefruit
1-2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
2 Tbsp. honey
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1 serving protein powder, optional
Place all ingredients in blender and buzz until smooth and creamy. Use a little milk (cow, soy, rice, almond, coconut) to thin out a little if needed.
I love the sound of the combinations you are putting together. I would not even think of those on my own, but knowing your quality standards, I can't wait to try some of these.
